OLD GOLD - Mens Hex Nut Stud Earrings with Metallic Gold Crystal

I really like the look and color of these earrings (they're exactly as pictured). However, every time I wore them (which was literally more than a dozen times), they left a dark grey residue on my earlobes. I finally realized this was what the description meant by "darkened antiqued metallic gold color" (the key word being darkened). Thankfully whatever substance was used didn't irritate my skin, it just made my earlobes look dirty (after the earrings were removed). I eventually wised up (long overdue, I know) and did what I should have done a while ago - thoroughly wiped down the base of each earring with a cotton round long enough to remove all the remaining dark residue (I hope). Not a deal breaker, but inconvenient (plus odd and unexpected).

Love the design and shine of these hex gold earrings. Not much of a gold wearer but these are fantastic. Thx Shy Siren for making top shelf jewelry.
